Jeremy Piven

Biography

Jeremy Piven is an American actor and comedian who grew up in Evanston, Illinois and trained at the Piven Theatre Workshop founded by his parents, both actors and drama teachers. Several of his films paired him with John Cusack, another Evanston native and a graduate of that workshop. He played Spike in Lucas (1986) early on, and in 1992 he joined The Larry Sanders Show as the head writer Jerry. Later he was Spence Kovak on Ellen and voiced Elongated Man in Justice League Unlimited. The fast talking Hollywood agent Ari Gold in Entourage brought him three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, and between 2013 and 2016 he starred in the British drama Mr Selfridge. His film roles have ranged from Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) to Black Hawk Down (2001).
