Biography

Bill Nunn was an American actor who worked repeatedly with Spike Lee after the two met as students at Morehouse College. He made his credited film debut in Lee's School Daze (1988) and became best known as Radio Raheem in Do the Right Thing (1989). He played Duh Duh Duh Man in New Jack City (1991) and appeared in Lee's Mo' Better Blues (1990) and He Got Game (1998). His other films included Regarding Henry (1991), Sister Act (1992), The Last Seduction (1994), Canadian Bacon (1995), Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995), Runaway Jury (2003) and Firehouse Dog (2007), and he played Robbie Robertson, the Daily Bugle editor, in the Spider-Man trilogy (2002 to 2007). On television he co-starred in The Job (2001 to 2002) and Sirens (2014 to 2015), and he acted on stage in August Wilson's Fences. He died in 2016.
