NetflixMovies.com has no accounts, and we never ask for your name or email unless you write to us. Here is the little we do collect.
What we collect and why
Server logs. Our server records each request: the page address (including anything you type into search), the time, your IP address and country, the page you came from and your browser type. We use the logs to keep the site working and to stop abuse. They are deleted automatically after 15 days.
Visit statistics. We count visits with Umami, which runs on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses. It records the page address (including any search words), the page you came from, and general details such as browser, device type, screen size, language and country, so we can see which pages people find useful. We keep these statistics so we can look back at how the site's traffic changes over time. Cloudflare also counts page views and loading times for us, without cookies.
Clicks to other services. When you click a button such as Watch on Netflix, we count the click: which film, which button and when. The count holds nothing about you.
Messages. If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address and message, plus your IP address and browser type to fight spam. A copy is also emailed to our own inbox so we see it right away. A separate spam counter keeps your IP address for one day. We use your message only to deal with it, and we delete it from the site after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies of its own. It saves two small settings in your browser: your light or dark choice, if you pick one, and a two-letter country code so the Where to watch box shows services in your country. Neither is sent back to us.
Other services
Cloudflare delivers every page, protects the site from attacks and checks the contact form for spam. If it asks you to prove you are not a robot, it sets its own security cookie.
YouTube. Movie pages with a trailer show a play button, and your browser connects to YouTube and Google only when you press play. The trailer then plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube and Google receive your IP address and browser details. YouTube's privacy policy applies to that.
Links and affiliate links. Buttons take you to other sites such as Netflix, Amazon and NordVPN. Some are affiliate links: if you buy something after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those sites may use cookies to record that you came from us, and their own privacy policies apply once you arrive.
Sharing
We don't sell information about visitors or use it for advertising. We share it only with the services named here and the companies that host our site and email, or when the law requires it.
Your choices and questions
If you have written to us, you can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. For that, or any question about this page, use the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
If we change this policy, the date at the top will change. See also our Terms of Use.
