Plot summary
Nine days after the series' finale, Vincent Chase has split from his wife, and Eric, Johnny and Turtle join him aboard his yacht to lift his spirits. Looking for something new in his career, he calls Ari Gold, his former agent who now heads a studio. Ari offers Vince the lead in the studio's first production, and Vince says he will take it only if he also directs. Eight months later, his directorial debut, Hyde, is in post-production and $15 million over budget. Vince asks Ari for another $10 million to finish the movie. Ari flies to Texas to persuade the film's co-financiers, Larsen McCredle and his son Travis, to put in more money. Larsen, hesitant, sends Travis to Los Angeles to view a cut at Vince's private screening. Eric is expecting a baby with his ex-fiancée Sloan.
