Ric Reitz

Ric Reitz is an American actor who also works as a writer, composer, director and producer. He grew up in Rochester, New York, and attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where he focused on radio, television and film and graduated cum laude in 1977. His first professional stage work came in repertory with the Arts Centre Theater Company of Rochester, followed by performances with the Tic Toc Players and summer stock at the Mendon Playhouse. On screen he started with a small part in the television movie Case Closed and later took leading roles, including attorney Melvin Belli in The Last of Robin Hood (2013) alongside Kevin Kline, Susan Sarandon and Dakota Fanning. He also appeared in Where The Devil Hides and The Loft, and had recurring television roles on Revolution, Drop Dead Diva and Surface. Reitz is president of SAG-AFTRA Atlanta and wrote children's works such as The Journey of Sir Douglas Fir and Second Chance Christmas.
