Biography

Jon Hamm is an American actor who became widely known for playing Don Draper, the lead of the 1960s ad agency drama Mad Men, a part that brought him an Emmy and two Golden Globes. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he acted in theater and took small television and film jobs before Mad Men made him a star in 2007, then moved into a long run of leading and supporting screen roles, among them The Town (2010), Sucker Punch (2011), Million Dollar Arm (2014), Keeping Up with the Joneses (2016), Baby Driver (2017), Bad Times at the El Royale (2018), The Report (2019), Richard Jewell (2019), No Sudden Move (2021), Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and Confess, Fletch (2022). He has voiced characters in Shrek Forever After (2010), Minions (2015), Transformers One (2024) and Hoppers (2026), and appeared on television in 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Good Omens, Fargo and The Morning Show.
