Plot summary
Prime is a service that builds holographic projections of dead people and feeds them the memories of a patient, so that the patient can hear them retold after she forgets. Marjorie, 85, has begun to show the first symptoms of Alzheimer's, and her son-in-law Jon and daughter Tess bring the service into the house. Marjorie has picked Walter, her husband, who died fifteen years earlier, in a younger form. Tess is troubled by her mother's choice and will not speak to him. Marjorie enjoys hearing her own stories returned to her and asks Walter to make some of them prettier, so that the better version becomes her new memory. Julie, who looks after Marjorie, moves into the house and confides in Walter.
