Plot summary
Curt Goynes is a gangster in 1954 Detroit who needs cash to get out of town, and he takes the work Doug Jones offers him. Jones sends him, Ronald Russo and Charley to the house of Matt Wertz, an accountant at General Motors, where they are to hold Wertz's wife Mary and son Matthew and pressure the family into helping with a blackmail scheme. Wertz is to drive to his office and bring back a document that his boss keeps in a safe. The three were brought together for the job and none of them knows who is behind it or what the paper is worth.
