Plot summary
Zach hosts Between Two Ferns, a public access talk show whose interviews have turned him into a viral laughing stock. During one of them, a sprinkler goes off and floods the room, and the mishap draws more views than anything before. The man who discovered the show and uploaded it to a comedy website then offers Zach a deal: ten episodes in two weeks, and with them the chance to run the company. Zach, who dreams of a talk show of his own, accepts and sets off on a road trip with his crew to line up the interviews and restore his reputation.
