Plot summary
Orson starts a new job at the Authority. He is rigid and socially awkward, and he follows a strict routine that he believes will maximize his productivity. His coworkers strike him as distracting and inefficient. He finds a room by the elevators and the restroom, comfortably furnished, and he works well in it. Andrew, his supervisor, tells him to stop using the room and arranges for a psychiatrist to see him. The psychiatrist finds him able to continue working, and Orson agrees to stay away from the room.
