Plot summary
The Minions have lived since the beginning of time to serve the most despicable masters in history, but their clumsiness has cost them every one of those bosses. After the tribe fires a cannon at Napoleon while in Russia, the Minions hide away in a cave, where over the years they grow sad and unmotivated with no master to serve. Kevin, Stuart and Bob set out to find the next boss for the tribe. In 1968 the three reach New York City and spend the night in a department store, where they find a hidden commercial broadcast advertising Villain-Con, a convention in Orlando. They get a ride to the convention from the Nelsons, a family of thieves. Scarlet Overkill, the world's first female supervillain, hires them and brings them to London.
