Plot summary
Jesus Quintana leaves prison with a warning from the warden that one more strike puts him away for good, and thanks for the bowling tournament he won inside. His friend Petey drives him into town, and the pair steal a classic muscle car and head to the house of Quintana's mother. She is with a man, and Quintana orders him out. He leaves her money and stays for dinner. Back at the parking spot where the car belongs, its owner appears with a gun. The owner's girlfriend Marie knows Quintana. Petey runs, the owner fires and hits him in the testicles, and Quintana beats the man up. Quintana, Petey and Marie drive off in the car.

- The Coen brothers said repeatedly that they would never make a Big Lebowski sequel, yet John Turturro pushed to reprise Jesus Quintana from 2002 onward and in 2014 asked them for permission to use the character.
- Turturro had already started filming the Jesus Quintana spin-off he wrote and directed when it was announced in August 2016 that the Coens had granted him the character's rights and were not involved in the production.
