Biography

Tress MacNeille is an American voice actress known for voicing a wide range of animated characters, including Daisy Duck and several residents of Springfield on The Simpsons. Born in Chicago, she spent ten years with the improvisational comedy group The Groundlings and appeared as Lucille Ball in the 1983 music video for Weird Al Yankovic's Ricky. She took the role of Babs Bunny on Tiny Toon Adventures, and writer Paul Dini said she was well suited because she could produce Babs's own voice as well as the voices for her impressions. MacNeille later voiced Dot Warner on Animaniacs, earning an Annie Award nomination in 1995. Since 1999 she has played Daisy Duck in Disney productions, and she has voiced the characters Chip and Gadget Hackwrench in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. She has also performed many characters on The Simpsons, among them Agnes Skinner and Crazy Cat Lady, and worked on Disenchantment, Rugrats, and Hey Arnold!
