Plot summary
Harsh rain leaves the Great Valley partly flooded and littered with debris. Littlefoot wants someone to play with, but his friends are busy: Cera is helping her father drag a big log away from the family's nesting place, Ducky and Spike are moving their nest with the rest of the family, and Petrie has a cold. Littlefoot wishes for a brother, then explores on his own and finds a wide stretch of new water, where he meets Mo, a young Ophthalmosaurus who loves to play and has been stranded there by floodwater from the Big Water. The two become friends, and Littlefoot calls Mo his mud brother. Mo explains that he is alone. A Liopleurodon attacks the group, and the adults will not help Mo get home, unwilling to leave the Valley for an outsider.
