Plot summary
Meteorites near the Great Valley cut off the water, and the drought threatens every dinosaur living there. Mr. Threehorn becomes protective of what water remains and harsh with the other inhabitants, and he comes to see Littlefoot as a bad influence. Littlefoot and his friends Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike set out to find another water source before the valley runs dry. A trio of teenage dinosaurs, the Hypsilophodon Hyp, the Muttaburrasaurus Mutt and the Nodosaurus Nod, follows them and pesters them along the way. The young dinosaurs do find a small lake, and the three older ones turn up to claim the waterhole for themselves, ordering the others to say nothing about it. Meanwhile the adults argue among themselves about how to handle the shortage.
