Plot summary
The dinosaur children attend a school taught by Mr. Thicknose, a Pachyrhinosaurus. Littlefoot questions the lessons, irritating him, and Mr. Thicknose complains to Grandpa Longneck. At home, Ducky's brother Spike keeps her awake with his snoring and eats the tree stars their mother packed for her, so Ducky confides in Cera, who agrees to teach her. A migrating Spiketail herd arrives, and Spike spends his time with a young dinosaur named Tippy. Then an overnight snowfall surprises the Valley, and the adults wonder why Mr. Thicknose gave no warning as freezing temperatures and little food growth set in.
