Fred Aldrich
Biography
Fred Aldrich was an American actor who spent about three decades in film and television, largely in small and bit parts. He was born in New York and got his start in the movies in 1939 with two minor roles, My Son Is Guilty and Confessions of a Nazi Spy, the second starring Edward G. Robinson and George Sanders. He went on to appear in more than 170 films. His credits included Kitty Foyle (1940), A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1949), Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956), The Conqueror (1956), Lover Come Back (1961) and Our Man Flint (1966). When television arrived he worked there too, with his first role on I Love Lucy, a series he returned to often, and later appearances on shows such as Gunsmoke, Rawhide and Perry Mason. He died in 1979.
