Dick Tracy vs. Cueball (1946) on Netflix

Plot summary

Lester Abbott is carrying stolen diamonds to gem dealer Jules Sparkle when ex-convict Cueball robs him and strangles him, taking the gems. Simon Little and Mona Clyde had arranged for crooked antiques dealer Percival Priceless to pay Cueball a few thousand dollars for the diamonds, then resell them and split the proceeds three ways. Cueball hides at the Dripping Dagger bar, where Filthy Flora, who runs the place, knows about the gems. Detectives Dick Tracy and Pat Patton question Sparkle and become suspicious of Little and Clyde. Tracy asks his friend Vitamin Flintheart to watch the shop the next day for suspicious activity.
