Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Rhonda Fleming and Arlene Dahl, both redheads who had often competed for the same film roles, reportedly feuded during the shoot. The animosity started when Fleming refused to wear lingerie made and sold by Dahl's company; the two demanded separate makeup and wardrobe assistants and flipped a coin to decide who got top billing.
- One account of the filming says the scene in which Fleming's character slaps Dahl's character in the face needed five takes, because Fleming seemed to have enjoyed causing her co-star pain.
