Rhonda Fleming
Biography
Rhonda Fleming was an American actress and singer who made more than 40 films, most of them in the 1940s and 1950s, and was nicknamed the Queen of Technicolor. Born Marilyn Louis in Hollywood, she was discovered by the agent Henry Willson while still in high school, and David O. Selznick later signed her to a contract. Her first substantial part came in Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound (1945), followed by The Spiral Staircase (1946) and the film noir Out of the Past (1947). A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1949) showed off her singing, and The Great Lover (1949) established her as a star. Other credits included Cry Danger (1951), Inferno (1953), Tennessee's Partner (1955), Slightly Scarlet (1956), While the City Sleeps (1956), Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957), Gun Glory (1957) and Home Before Dark (1958), which she considered her favorite role. She also sang in a nightclub act, recorded an album, and worked often in television.

In 1958, Rhonda Fleming made her only LP, Rhonda, which Columbia Records released. Frank Comstock, a conductor-arranger, handled the musical direction, and the album mixed standards with then-current songs.
