Biography

Scott Adkins is an English actor and martial artist who has spent much of his screen career fighting. Born in Sutton Coldfield, he took up martial arts as a teenager and holds a black belt in taekwondo. After small parts in Hong Kong films such as Black Mask 2: City of Masks (2002) and British television work including a lead in the Sky One comedy drama Mile High and a regular role in Holby City, he gained prominence as Yuri Boyka, the Russian prison fighter, in Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006), returning for Undisputed III: Redemption (2010), which earned him a Breakout Action Star award, and the later sequel Boyka: Undisputed IV (2016). His first lead came as Casey Bowman in Ninja (2009), reprised in Ninja: Shadow of a Tear (2013), and he also appeared in supporting roles in Ip Man 4: The Finale (2019), John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) and The Expendables 2 (2012).
