Legacy of Lies (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Sasha Stepanenko is a journalist investigating an old case and the operations behind it, run by secret services that no one will name. She asks Martin Baxter, a former MI6 agent, for help with it. His wife was killed in an operation that went wrong, and he left the service a decade ago; the request pulls him back into espionage. Intelligence services in Britain and Russia take an interest in his return to the work. The KGB holds his daughter Lisa, and Martin has just twenty-four hours to deliver the files from a secret case. Doing so would mean risking Sasha's life as well as his own.
