Plot summary
The documentary gathers conversations about 1980s and 1990s action cinema, including contributions from two authors who have written books about action movies. It grows out of a series of short video retrospectives about classic action films that a filmmaker, then working in various roles for a British cinema chain, publishes online after being inspired by retrospective features made by a gaming website. A music documentarian offers to sponsor that work, and the arrangement develops into a feature-length project. An advertising creative and author of a book of interviews with action villains arranges further interviews, using contacts he has built while researching that book. A film journalist serves as producer.
