Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The film was shot mostly in 2011 under the title Angels and conceived as a slow-burn, character-driven drama, but it could not find distribution in that form, so re-shoots and a re-edit several years later added more action and nudity.
- Adkins and Kane Kosugi were added to the cast for a few brief scenes during the re-shoots, purely because it was thought their name recognition would help sell the film.
