Plot summary
In Los Angeles, Bud Jablonski makes his living as a vampire hunter, and the pool cleaning business he runs is a front. Two kills bring him little at the pawn shop, and with his daughter's tuition and braces unpaid, he asks his old army friend Big John Elliott to help him back into the vampire hunters' union. Union boss Ralph Seeger recalls Bud's code violations and offers only a trial period on the day shift, which pays worse, with the union representative Seth assigned to supervise him and report any breach. The two of them go hunting together. The deaths of the two vampires reach Audrey, a wealthy vampire with plans to establish colonies and build an army.
