Biography

Caroline Aaron is an American actress who was born in Richmond, Virginia, and studied performing arts at American University in Washington, D.C. and acting at HB Studio in New York City. She is known for performances in films by Mike Nichols, Nora Ephron and Woody Allen, among them Primary Colors (1998), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Big Night (1996). Her other screen credits include 21 Jump Street (2012) and 22 Jump Street (2014). On television she took guest roles in Wings, Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Transparent and The Good Fight, and she appeared on Broadway in Relatively Speaking, I Hate Hamlet, Social Security and The Iceman Cometh. From 2017 to 2023 she was a regular on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, whose cast won two consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards for its ensemble work. She is also a guest instructor at HB Studio.
