Plot summary
Violent deaths and a missing young woman draw Sam Hallaway and Elizabeth Anderson, agents of the FBI, to a Nebraska town where three people who came through a bloodbath are waiting to be questioned. Stephanie is a girl; Bobbi Prescott uses cocaine; Officer Jack Bennett has a bandaged hand and a foul mouth. Cameras are set up in three rooms, and each witness describes what brought them to the county road the day before. Captain Billings and officers Degrasso and Wright sit in while Hallaway listens and watches from another room, and the stories do not line up. Elsewhere, Bennett and his partner Officer Jim Conrad shoot the tires of cars on an isolated county road, then tell the drivers that speeding blew them out.

- To show each character's point of view, different film stocks were processed in different ways: officers Jim Conrad (French Stewart) and Jack Bennett (Kent Harper) appear sepia-toned to reflect their power, drug-using couple Bobbi Prescott (Pell James) and Johnny (Mac Miller) were over-saturated, and Stephanie (Ryan Simpkins) was shot super sharp and super clear.
- At the New York City Horror Film Festival, Jennifer Lynch became the first woman to win its Best Director award, and Ryan Simpkins became the first child to win its Best Actress award.
