Along Came Polly (2004) on Netflix

Plot summary

Reuben Feffer assesses risk for a large insurance company and has built his life around avoiding it. On his honeymoon on the island of Saint Barthélemy, he finds his new wife, Lisa Kramer, in the company of Claude, a scuba instructor, and she chooses to stay behind with him. Reuben flies home to New York alone. His friend Sandy Lyle brings him to an art gallery, where he runs into Polly Prince, a former middle school classmate who lives for the moment with her blind ferret in a small apartment. He asks her out. Their first dinner, at a Moroccan restaurant, goes wrong because of his irritable bowel syndrome. Polly takes him salsa dancing, where she dances with her friend Javier, and Reuben admits he dislikes spicy food and avoids the risks she enjoys.
