Tom Hollander
Biography
Tom Hollander is an English actor who trained with the National Youth Theatre and took the Ian Charleson Award in 1992 for his Witwoud in The Way of the World. His Broadway debut came in 1998 in David Hare's The Judas Kiss, and playing Henry Carr in a revival of Tom Stoppard's Travesties earned him both Olivier and Tony nominations. He gained wide notice as Mr. Collins in Joe Wright's adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (2005) and as Lord Cutler Beckett throughout the Pirates of the Caribbean series, with further film work in Robert Altman's Gosford Park (2001) and Armando Iannucci's In the Loop (2009). For television he co-wrote and starred in the sitcom Rev., which won a BAFTA for best sitcom in 2011, and his work in The Night Manager brought him a BAFTA as best supporting actor. He later portrayed Truman Capote in Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.

Hollander won the lead role in a BBC dramatization of Leon Garfield's John Diamond in 1981, when he was 14 years old.
First role
Hollander took on the part of Baby in 1995, in Jez Butterworth's play Mojo. That July, the Royal Court Theatre in London hosted the premiere.
Behind the camera
Hollander and writer James Wood co-created Rev. in 2010, a comedy about an inner-city vicar. Hollander took the part of Rev. Adam Smallbone, and in 2011 the show earned a BAFTA for Best Situation Comedy.
A role that slipped away
In the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, released in November 2018, Hollander took the part of Jim Beach, Queen's second manager. Reports said he had left the film over issues with director Bryan Singer, fired in December 2017, but he was convinced to continue.
