Plot summary
Lord Cutler Beckett, holding Davy Jones' heart, commands the Flying Dutchman and orders pirate ships destroyed, while Port Royal executes anyone tied to piracy. Condemned prisoners sing 'Hoist the Colours', a song that compels nine Pirate Lords to convene at Shipwreck Cove. Jack Sparrow is trapped in Davy Jones' Locker and named no successor, so Hector Barbossa, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and Tia Dalma join the Black Pearl's remaining crew to bring him back. Their course runs through Singapore, where the Pirate Lord Sao Feng keeps navigational charts to the Locker, and an attack by the East India Trading Company disrupts their meeting. Will means to use the Black Pearl to release his father, Bootstrap Bill, from the Dutchman.
