Plot summary
Leo, who is gay, turns thirty and comes home to find that his roommates Darren and Angie have thrown him a surprise party. Unhappy, and uneasy about some of the guests, he shuts himself in his bedroom, and an extended flashback explains his history with them. His brother Adam had urged him to join a weekly men's group led by Keith, whose wife is Sybil. There Leo meets Brendan, an Irishman, and develops a crush that he reluctantly reveals to the group. Brendan is straight and lives with Sally, the girlfriend he once had. Exercises in the group lead the two men into a friendship.
