Don Cheadle
Biography
Don Cheadle is an American actor whose screen work began with supporting parts in films such as Hamburger Hill (1987), Colors (1988), Devil in a Blue Dress (1995), Rosewood (1997), Boogie Nights (1997), and Bulworth (1998). Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he trained at the California Institute of the Arts, and he worked with director Steven Soderbergh on Out of Sight (1998), Traffic (2000), the Ocean's trilogy (2001 to 2007), and No Sudden Move (2021). His lead role as Paul Rusesabagina in Hotel Rwanda (2004) brought an Academy Award nomination, and he co-produced Crash, which won Best Picture. He joined the Marvel films as James Rhodes, also called War Machine, starting with Iron Man 2 (2010). On television he earned Emmy nominations for House of Lies, Black Monday, The Rat Pack, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He directed and starred in Miles Ahead and has won two Golden Globes, two Grammys and a Tony Award.
