Plot summary
Judy Robles raises her son Anthony in Mesa, Arizona, and he has no right leg from birth. Prejudice and physical difficulty meet him, but he discovers wrestling in high school and makes the team. Coaches and teammates doubt him at first, but constant training turns him into a tough opponent. After graduation he wants to compete at college level. Drexel offers a scholarship, yet he selects Arizona State so he stays near his family, earning a walk-on place even though the coaches there are skeptical. Division I wrestling is physically punishing, and home life is strained by his stepfather's abusive behavior. Judy's support and faith in her son carry him through his training at ASU.
