Biography

Sean Harris is an English actor who has worked across film, television, and theater. Born in 1966 in Bethnal Green and raised in Lowestoft, Suffolk, he trained at London's Drama Centre from 1989 to 1992. He performed with the Glasgow Citizens Theatre in stage productions such as Romeo and Juliet and Don Juan. On television, he portrayed Ian Brady in See No Evil: The Moors Murders, appeared in the Red Riding trilogy, and played Micheletto Corella in The Borgias. He won a BAFTA for Best Actor for the miniseries Southcliffe. His film roles include Ian Curtis in 24 Hour Party People (2002), Fifield in Prometheus (2012), and Solomon Lane in the Mission: Impossible series, appearing in Rogue Nation (2015) and Fallout (2018). He also played Philip in Possum (2018), William Gascoigne in The King (2019), and won an AACTA Award for The Stranger (2022). He received three consecutive BIFA nominations for Best Supporting Actor.
