Plot summary
In the early 1970s, conjoined twins Tom and Barry Howe are living in the United Kingdom. A talent manager buys them with stardom in rock music in mind. The two of them start the Bang Bang, a pub rock band, and as its audience grows they gain wider notice. A music journalist, Laura Ashwood, travels with the band while writing an article about them, and she and Tom become romantically involved. That relationship puts strain on the brothers. The film is a mockumentary, and its screenplay, begun in 1984, comes from a 1977 science fiction novel with the same title.
