Cam Gigandet

Biography

Cam Gigandet is an American actor who started with a guest spot on a crime series in 2003. He was born in Tacoma, Washington, and later moved to California to attend Santa Monica College. Recurring roles on The Young and the Restless and Jack and Bobby came next, then he played Kevin Volchok on The O.C. between 2005 and 2006. In Never Back Down (2008) he was the fighter Ryan McCarthy, and he and Sean Faris won a Best Fight award at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. For his role as the vampire James in Twilight (2008), he collected a second Best Fight prize at the MTV Movie Awards in 2009, this time with Robert Pattinson. He also took the part of Corporal Gallo in Pandorum (2009) and appeared in The Unborn (2009). His later work includes starring in the CBS legal drama Reckless and the Audience Network drama Ice from 2016 to 2018.
