Desert Dawn (2025) on Netflix

Plot summary

The body of an unidentified woman gives a newly appointed small-town sheriff his first real case, and his deputy wants no part of it.

What starts as a murder inquiry widens into something the town would rather leave alone. There are local businessmen whose money does not add up, and a cartel with an interest in keeping the paperwork quiet. The two men work the case anyway, which puts them on the wrong side of people who are used to being left undisturbed.

Marty Murray directed, from a screenplay by Chad Law, Johnny Walters and Art Camacho, for Al Bravo Films, BondIt Media Capital and Premiere Entertainment Group. Kellan Lutz plays Luke Easton and Cam Gigandet plays John Sites, with Chad Michael Collins as Jack Danes, Texas Battle as Sal Read and Guillermo Ivan as Fernando Carrillo. The film runs 89 minutes and is rated R.
