Plot summary
Zach and Randy run a YouTube channel about their hometown of Multon, Missouri, but the town gives them little to film. Zach is in love with Kayla, a high school lacrosse player who worries about leaving her younger brother Joey when she studies overseas, since their parents have no time for him. A neighbor, Ms. Bisette, is concerned about a bug moving in an unnatural, synchronized way on her apples. Later they see a boy dragged away by a woman he insists is not his mother, and nobody believes him. One night they hear screaming from Ms. Bisette's house. She says something bit her, but the next day she claims nothing happened when Deputy Josh Haywood questions her. Zach and Randy then notice the pastor and sheriff acting emotionless, and Kayla says her parents are behaving erratically.
