In the Blood (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Ava grows up in Bridgeport, Connecticut. At 14 she sees intruders kill her drug lord father and shoots them both. After years of addiction and recovery, she marries Derek Grant, whom she meets at Narcotics Anonymous. The newlyweds travel to a Caribbean island for their honeymoon, staying at a summer home owned by Derek's family. They befriend a young local named Manny, who takes them to a nightclub. The next morning Manny suggests a mile-long zip-line called El Viudador. Ava, afraid of heights, declines, but Derek rides and his harness snaps, sending him falling. Ava finds him injured but alive; an ambulance takes him away without her. At the hospital, staff deny he was admitted, and other clinics have no record of him. Ava reports him missing to the police and begins searching alone.
