Plot summary
Rapper Christopher "C-Note" Hawkins wants a membership at the Carolina Pines Country Club, a private course whose members have no interest in admitting him. When they turn him down, he buys property that includes part of the club's 17th hole and offers the land in exchange for a place among them, leaving the club pressed to accept. C-Note then disturbs the club's routines, and the members begin searching for a way to revoke the membership they granted. He stays because of his family and the history it has with golf, and he does not intend to give up his place.
