Biography

Rhys Coiro is an American actor who works across film, television and theater. Born in Calabria, Italy, he grew up in Washington, D.C., New York City and upstate New York before studying theater at Carnegie Mellon University and training at the Moscow Art Theatre. At 19 he got his first professional job as an understudy in the off-Broadway premiere of Conor McPherson's This Lime Tree Bower, and soon after graduating he played Eddie the Bellhop in a Lincoln Center revival of Dinner at Eight. He is best known for playing filmmaker Billy Walsh in the HBO series Entourage, and he appeared in the remake Straw Dogs (2011). His other television work includes Lilyhammer, Texas Rising, Ray Donovan, The Walking Dead and The Penguin, and he returned to the stage in 2023 in The Coast Starlight.
