Biography

Tom Sizemore was an American actor who began with supporting roles in films such as Born on the Fourth of July and Lock Up, then moved to more prominent parts in Passenger 57, True Romance, Natural Born Killers (1994), and Heat (1995). Born in Detroit, he studied theater at Wayne State University and earned a master's degree from Temple University. His most commercially successful film was Saving Private Ryan (1998). He received a Golden Globe nomination for the television film Witness Protection (1999). Other credits included Bringing Out the Dead, Black Hawk Down (2001), Pearl Harbor, and The Relic (1997). He voiced Sonny Forelli in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and appeared in the Twin Peaks revival. He was nominated for a Saturn Award for Heart and Souls. Sizemore also fronted the rock band Day 8.

Beyond film
Sizemore was the frontman of Day 8, a Hollywood rock band that started out as the Bystanders and took shape in 2002. The group cut a four-song EP with Mike Doling, a former guitarist for Snot and Soulfly, producing.
Early training
Sizemore graduated from Wayne State University near downtown Detroit in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in Theater. In 1986, he earned a master's degree at Temple University in Philadelphia.
