Plot summary
Adam Niskar works as a mortgage broker, with a career he has built, a family that supports him and a circle of close friends. When his boss offers him a big promotion at work, Adam celebrates; with alcohol in him, he dives into water, and the accident leaves him a quadriplegic. He cannot accept what has happened to his body, and anger and despair set in as his physical limits and his pain strain the people around him. A Russian nurse named Yevgeina is outspoken, and she challenges the way he sees his life rather than accepting that it is over.
