Plot summary
Luke comes from a line of miners who sealed a dark being inside a mine that has been abandoned ever since, and the being still haunts the family's descendants. His niece is suddenly struck by a strange form of schizophrenia, and Luke has no way to cover the cost of her treatment. Reopening the old mine is his plan for raising the money. Saving her, he believes, means confronting the curse that hangs over the family.
