Plot summary
The assignment in Matt Arnold's school game of Killer is to shoot classmate Jenny Herk with a squirt gun, and he arrives at her house to do it. Hitmen have come to the same house for Jenny's stepfather, Arthur Herk, who embezzled money from his company, Penultra Corp. The disturbance brings police officers Monica Romero and Walter Kramitz. Matt's friend Andrew telephones Matt's father, Eliot Arnold, who collects his son and meets Jenny's mother, Anna Herk. Matt and Jenny are drawn to each other as well, while the Herks' housemaid, Nina, takes an interest in Puggy, a homeless man living in a tree on the property. Arthur, believing he is the target, goes to arms dealers for a rocket and is handed a suitcase instead.

- The comedy was set to open on 21 September 2001 behind a strong advertising push. The September 11 attacks made its plot of a nuclear device smuggled onto a plane unusable, so the release slid to April 2002 and the campaign was almost abandoned.
