Biography

Sarah Jessica Parker is an American actress and television producer. She made her Broadway debut at eleven in a 1976 revival of The Innocents and later starred in the title role of the musical Annie in 1979. Her first major film parts came in the 1984 dramas Footloose and Firstborn, followed by 1990s films such as L.A. Story (1991), Honeymoon in Vegas (1992), Hocus Pocus (1993), Ed Wood (1994), and Mars Attacks! (1996). She gained global stardom as Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO series Sex and the City, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards. Parker returned to the role for the 2008 film Sex and the City, its 2010 sequel Sex and the City 2, and the revival series And Just Like That... She appeared in The Family Stone (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Did You Hear About the Morgans? (2009), and Hocus Pocus 2 (2022). She has run the production company Pretty Matches since 2005.
