Ben Stein
Biography
Ben Stein is an American actor, comedian, writer and game show host known for a flat, unemotional delivery. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, he studied economics at Columbia University and earned a law degree at Yale before moving into entertainment as a performer and host. His monotone manner suited the economics teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and he played Dr. Arthur Neuman in The Mask and in Son of the Mask (2005). He appeared as the science teacher Mr. Cantwell on The Wonder Years, and other screen credits include Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), My Girl 2 (1994) and Casper (1995). His voice work includes The Fairly OddParents, Animaniacs and Duckman. He hosted Win Ben Stein's Money from 1997 to 2003, and the show won five Daytime Emmy Awards. He co-wrote and starred in Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008).
