Plot summary
Settled in New York with Mr. Big, Carrie Bradshaw agrees to marry him after they buy an expensive Manhattan penthouse. Concerned about her legal rights if they separate, she considers selling her own apartment to contribute. Vogue editor Enid Frick invites her to appear in the magazine's bridal Age Issue, where she models couture gowns and is drawn to a Vivienne Westwood dress. The attention around the dress pulls Carrie away from the small ceremony she had in mind: the guest list balloons far past her original seventy-five names, and Big, divorced twice already, grows uneasy at the scale of it. Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady have stopped being intimate, Samantha, in Los Angeles with Smith Jerrod, feels she is losing her identity to his rising career, and Charlotte, married to Harry, still hopes for another child.
