Plot summary

His infidelity has separated Paul and Meryl Morgan. He is a Manhattan lawyer seeking her forgiveness; she has moved on to her real estate work. One evening, as he walks her to an appointment and pleads his case, they witness the murder of Meryl's client, and the killer sees them. The couple enters the Witness Protection Program and is relocated to Ray, Wyoming, a tiny town where Clay and Emma Wheeler, a husband and wife who both serve as deputy marshals, look after them. Cut off from telephones and e-mail, the Morgans have to sort out their marriage while their New York habits meet the ways of the West.
