Plot summary
Vivienne is a singer with a major performance and an upcoming tour. Her doctor, Marianna Holt, tells her she has a brain tumor. She leaves the appointment and crosses New York City. Her mother, Jeanne, calls repeatedly. At the studio, her manager, Ben, greets her and tells her she has an interview after the rehearsal; she apologizes to her bandmates for being late. She buys an expensive dress and sits through an interview with Oona, showing little interest in the conversation. During a Lyft ride, the driver, Sami, argues on the phone until she asks to be let out early. At home, Jeanne bombards her with questions until Vivienne answers rudely, then apologizes.
